Great River Birding Festival
“Birding By Train” and “Birding By
Boat” are the featured events during the May 10th and 11th
Great River Birding Festival. The Mini-Rail Car Train is one of the events and
is a rare opportunity to go birding and have a spring nature adventure. It will
take you through the Tiffany Wildlife Area and Chippewa River bottoms through
areas where you can not walk through. There will be the best birding guides in
the area available to help birders, both novice and experienced, to locate their
subject, focus equipment and identify birds, other wildlife and spring flowers.
A box lunch will be provided
and port a potty available. Bring your binoculars, dress for the weather and
plan to have an incredible trip from 7 am – noon.
The place to board is on Hwy.
