1pm Joyeux Noel
Academy Award nominated film. Tells the true-life story of the spontaneous
Christmas Eve truce delcared by Scottish, French and German troops in the
trenches of WWI.
4pm Fat Man, Little Boy
WWII film about the secret atom bomb project starting Paul Newman. "Fat Man" and
"Little Boy" were the nicknames given the atomic bombs that were dropped over
Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the waning days of World War II. This elaborately
assembled film is the story of the events leading up to the dawn of the atomic
age.
7pm The Patriot
Starring Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger and loosely adapted from the true story of
Francis Marion and filmed on location in South Carolina, The Patriot was the
first feature film made with the cooperation of the Smithsonian Institute, who
advised the producers on historical accuracy.
