Alma is one of the many river towns in Buffalo County located directly on the Mississippi River, Wisconsin's western shore.  It's a step back in time with its National Historic District designation and collection of over 200 19th century buildings and a way of life built by its pioneers between 500 foot bluffs and the great Mississippi River.
