SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Waterfowl & Bird Watching in the wild is a favorite springtime activity in Alma.  Our location on the Mississippi River and the Upper Mississippi Wildlife & Fish Refuge is a favorite for watching spring migration along the Mississippi Flyway.
Playgrounds are no longer buried in snow and it's fun to get out and enjoy the outdoors at Rieck's Park, the Alma Beach and Buena Vista.
Watching Barges At Lock & Dam #4 can be enjoyed starting in March when the ice melts on the Mississippi River.  There's a great viewing spot and the thrill of standing on the bridge crossing over the railroad tracks is a highlight.
Buena Vista Overlook views should not be missed, their iconic!
Hike Buena Vista Trail, Mossy Hollow Trail or Alma's 13 Stairstep Streets for a great workout or just a little exercise.  Views are exceptional!
Camping at Rieck's Lake Park, Alma's historic tourist park, is affordable.
Great views of the Buffalo River.  More Info
